The Snow Storm From Hell

Well, we are back after about 31 hours of no power.
It went out at 2AM Saturday and didn't come back until around 8:30 this morning.
The sounds of the dishwasher running and the heater pumping hot air are music to my ears.
Hope you all are safe and warm.

happy things are getting back to normal for you gabe. you guys took a terrible pounding. noaa posted your total at 29.7 inches which is almost beyond belief. g-town will be doing some digging out for awhile

Gabe, I'm so glad you're back, with a dishwasher soundtrack and sanity intact! I found an outage map for your area (Ace said, "What're you doing?" I said, "Checking up on Dan & Gabe."), which looks, this morning, like you still have many neighbors without power. Glad you got yours back, and I'll keep the (spiritual, if not electrical) juice going for them.

i understand that defeated feeling gabe. i have had it with numerous house issues the past couple of years including the guy telling me i need a new boiler for 5,000 dollars 3 days ago. i dont have the money so i am praying for the best. i may have to move if this keeps up. 30 inches of snow would have put me in a bad place for sure. the good part is winter is more then1/2 over and that snow will all melt and your tomatoes and potato plants will be flourishing on your terrace. i am putting your family in my god box. you are in my thoughts and prayers.

How to get your parking spot cleaned out in three feet of snow, with very little work.
Be like my amazingly brilliant husband.
Go out early, to start digging out.
Catch the dude driving the bobcat, who is scooping up huge amounts of snow.
Ask him, ever so nicely, if he would mind cleaning out your spot if you move your vehicle.
VOILA!!!
Clean parking spot, very little work.
My man Dan is wicked smart.
