I was watching "Driving Miss Daisy" last weekend.
Hoke says, at one point...
"I like pictures. They make a place a home."
I can't say that it's just the pictures that make my place a home.
They are a part of it, but not all of it.
Home is my safe place, my retreat from the busyness of the world.
It's where I'm comfortable.
It's where I can kick back and just be myself.
Home is where I read and write.
It's where I have my best meals.
There is an incredible sense of comfort and safety when I am at home.
There is work to do at home, but that work is all about maintaining the place,
so it's good work, work I like to do.
I cherish the time I get to spend in my home.
